PHILOSOPHY

The system of yoga is at once incredibly healing to the body and a powerful tool to liberate the mind and self-concept. My practice is meditative, musical, and informed by anatomy and kinesiology. This ancient system offers tools to expand conscious experience, quiet the mind, build interoceptive capacity, increase strength and flexibility, and find joy in movement.

TRAINING

A 500-hour certified yoga teacher, I graduated from the Radiant Life Yoga 200-hour teacher training in 2019 in Minneapolis and the Beloved Retreats 300-hour program in 2022. I also draw inspiration from practicing at Jivamukti Yoga and various Anusara studios in New York City. I completed additional training in trauma-informed, Yin, prenatal, and oncology yoga (Yoga4Cancer).

YOGA WITH DREW

I offer private yoga instruction for existing clients or by referral. My yoga clients come from diverse backgrounds and intentions, and I teach based on where you’re starting from and what you wish to develop in your practice. Some reasons to do private yoga instruction with me: a safe and non-judgmental space, personal attention, learning the basics to build your confidence for taking classes online or in studios, refining alignment for safety/strength/mobility, establishing a regular yoga practice, or guided mind-body integration work. I’ve been told that getting hands-on assistance from a yoga teacher who trained as a massage therapist is a uniquely therapeutic and educational experience.
